South Central Community Action Partnership - SCCAP
South Central Community Action Partnership exists to provide a wide range of services in an effort to help improve the quality of life for people with an economic disadvantage. Our vision is to empower people to overcome the causes and effects of poverty within our eight county region of south central Idaho.
SCCAP’s Homeless Prevention Program assists homeless and those in imminent threat of being homeless to obtain or maintain housing while providing case management, setting goals and creating a plan of action to achieve economic stability. SCCAP employs certified Family Development Specialists to provide case management, supportive services, income management and referrals to main stream and other community resources, helping to overcome obstacles and maintain permanent housing. SCCAP also operates a Transitional Housing Program for homeless families with children for up to two years. SCCAP also operates a Mutual Self-Help Housing Program where 4 – 10 families come together under the guidance of a Construction Supervisor to build their own home, making homeownership a reality.
